On August 8, 2020, State Police in Wilton arrested 20-year-old Ramzi M. Kori of Burlington, VT, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree (C felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor), and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree (A misdemeanor).

On Saturday afternoon at approximately 2:55 p.m., State Police observed Kori commit multiple traffic violations as he traveling on I-87 in the town of Moreau, and a traffic stop was initiated. While speaking with Kori and his passengers, the Trooper observed signs of drug use and a vehicle search was conducted.

Kori was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun, located in the center console of the vehicle, and which he did not legally possess. State Police also located drug paraphernalia containing white powder believed to be cocaine residue.

Kori was taken into custody and transported to SP Wilton for processing. He was arraigned in Moreau Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on September 26, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
