On June 15, 2020 State Police in Saratoga arrested 39-year-old Jake I. Hodgdon of Swanton, VT, for Criminal Mischief 2nd degree (D felony), Grand Larceny 4th degree (E felony), and Auto Stripping 3rd degree (A misdemeanor).

Hodgdon is accused of entering onto the victim’s property in the town of Malta and removing a catalytic converter from their vehicle. The victim, who was on the property at the time, observed Hodgdon on their security system and confronted him. Hodgdon then jumped in his vehicle and fled. An arrest warrant was obtained for Hodgdon who was located by Troopers on June 15th and taken into custody.

Hodgdon was processed at SP Saratoga and arraigned. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Malta Town Court on August 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
