On May 10, 2021 troopers out of SP Elma charged James P. Borsuk, 66, of Wales NY, with Driving While Intoxicated. Borsuk was traveling on Clinton street in the town of Elma when several boards fell off his truck. Another motorist observed the boards and followed Borsuk to a gas station on Bowen road. Borsuk appeared to have trouble walking when he exited his vehicle and the motorist contacted 911.Troopers arrived on scene and interviewed Borsuk. They detected the odor of alcohol coming from Borsuk. After failing sobriety tests Borsuk was taken into custody and transported to SP Elma where he provided a breath sample of .16% BAC. Borsuk was processed for Driving While Intoxicated and released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Elma Court on 06/14/21 at 6:30 PM.
