On September 11, 2021, the New York State Police in Chestertown arrested 36-year-old Kolby B. Semon of Warrensburg for 3 counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated-Leandra’s Law (E felony).

Semon was stopped for a traffic infraction shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday as he traveled down Main Street in the town of Warrensburg. When the Trooper spoke with Semon, they could smell the odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle and observed three child passengers. The Trooper attempted to administer Semon roadside sobriety tests, but he refused to complete them.

Semon was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to SP Chestertown where he provided a breath sample of .23% B.A.C. Semon was released with tickets and is expected to appear in Warrensburg Town Court on September 29, 2021. The children were released to the care of a family member.
