Buffalo, NY – On October 15, 2021, at approximately 8:00 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-190 in the city of Buffalo for several vehicle and traffic violations.  After interviewing the driver, Matthew T. Drew, 26, of West Seneca, NY, he was found to be intoxicated. 

When the Trooper attempted to take Drew into custody, he actively resisted arrest and attempted to flee the scene.  Drew was subsequently arrested and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he refused medical treatment but provided a blood sample to determine the alcohol and/or drug content in his system.  Drew was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree; all Misdemeanors.

Drew was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Buffalo Court on November 10, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
