Wrong-way driver arrested for aggravated DWI in Hinsdale

On July 25, 2020, SP Olean Troopers arrested Gerri E. Brink, 54, of Savona, NY for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated - BAC Over 0.18%.

Troopers investigating a report of a vehicle traveling east in the westbound lanes of Interstate 86 in the town of Olean observed Brink operating her vehicle in the wrong direction in the town of Hinsdale. During a subsequent traffic stop, Brink was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined she had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. She failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Brink was then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where a chemical breath test revealed her to have a 0.22% BAC.

Brink was released with appearance tickets for Hinsdale Town Court, where she is due to appear in August.
