PRESS RELEASE
 

White Plains, NY – On May 7, 2022, at approximately 10:45 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a wrong way driver, traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of I-287 in the city of White Plains.  The driver was operating a 2020 Nissan Rogue which struck a trailer and fled the scene.  No injuries were reported. 

Troopers located the Nissan and subsequent to an investigation, the driver, Ariella L. Richardson, 24, of Ardsley, NY, was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody.  She was transported and processed at SP Tarrytown where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21%.  She was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations. 

Richardson was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of White Plains Court on May 26, 2022.
